I think I would be so intrigued by the cover that I would unfold it before I even started reading it. Having the image of a monster at the end of the poster makes the most sense, but I really like the sesame street sign in your third idea. The sign is iconic and interesting the way you have it cut out. You could have alot of fun hand rendering the text or making it have a very hand made aesthetic.
